Posey Transporters, Inc. began in 1997 as a small car hauling operation moving cars within the Metro-Detroit area. We quickly expanded the number of trucks we ran as well as our territory to the north-eastern Untied States. By 1999 we were a full service operation servicing the entire 50 states and Canada. In 2004, we added a brokering department to extend the reach of our services offered and allow us to say “YES WE CAN” every time.

I wanted to take a moment to let you know how pleased we are with Kim Campbell. Marc Botindari and I have recently contacted Posey Logistics for transportation of several AT&T vehicles. Transportation options
Open Car Shipping - Door to Door
Your vehicle is transported on an open car carrier much like the ones used to deliver new cars from the manufacturer to the dealers. Your vehicle will be picked up at your door (or as close as possible) and will be delivered to the door (or as close as possible) at your specified destination. On average, Open Transport costs less than Enclosed

Enclosed Auto Shipping - Door to Door
Your vehicle will be transported on a completely enclosed trailer designed to transport classic automobiles, prototypes or vehicles that cannot be exposed to inclement weather. Your vehicle will be picked up at your door (or as close as possible) and will be delivered to the door (or as close as possible) at your specified destination.

Car Shipping Frequently Asked Questions
-Will you ask for money up front?
No. Never pay a company just to book your transportation. We are often times requested to help a customer ship their vehicle after being “taken” by a transportation company. We will require payment before the vehicle is delivered to its final destination. In some cases we will attempt to reduce the amount we charge to help offset the money lost.

-Are you just a broker?
We are both a carrier and a broker. It is impossible for a company to be in every corner of the country heading to every other corner. We have an extensive due diligence process to ensure the safety of your vehicle. Our trucks usually run dedicated routes as do most other carriers. It is our job to locate a truck that operates in your requested route and in the timeframe that works with your busy schedule.

-How far in advance should I schedule the transport of my vehicle?
We request that you schedule your move as soon as possible to insure that your car is moved within the time frame which best meets your schedule. However, if an immediate pick up is necessary, we can arrange for your vehicle to be picked up within 24 hours, sometimes quicker.

-What method of payments do you accept?
We accept credit cards, money orders or cashier's checks. Other options can be discussed.

-How do I get a quote?
You may get a free quote by clicking here or calling 877-475-9470

-What is an oversize fee?
Some vehicles are much larger than traditional passenger vehicles. Most full size SUVs fit in to this category. Because of the extraordinary dimensions, these vehicles take up the amount of space normally used for two vehicles, thus resulting in the need for an “oversize” fee.

-Where will my car be picked up and delivered?
Most auto shippers have access to over 100 terminals across the country. You can drop off and pick up your vehicle at one of these terminals or, for an additional charge, your vehicle can be picked up and delivery at a location more convenient for you, like your home or office.
-Do I have to be present when you pick up or deliver my vehicle?
Yes, we request you, or a designated person, be present upon pick up of your vehicle. An inspection is performed and a contract bill of lading must be signed.
-What is door to door versus terminal to terminal service?
A service option for a personal vehicle is door to door pick up and/or delivery. Most car movers operate a terminal network of over 100 locations throughout the US. If door to door service is requested, a local truck is dispatched to your desired and convenient location.

-How do I prepare my vehicle?
Please have a no more that 1/4 tank of fuel, remove all personal items from your vehicle, repair any chips and/or cracks in your windows and make sure your vehicle is prepared for changing weather conditions.

-Do you guarantee pick up and delivery times?
Yes and No. If you require a guaranteed time, be prepared to pay a premium just like you would to overnight a package. Some trucks could have 10 vehicles on their truck all going to different locations and 10 vehicles to pick up. It only takes 1 customer to change their entire schedule. For the most part we work in windows. We will usually tell you 7-10 days to transport your vehicle across the country however; it may only take 4 days. Weather and equipment failures are also factors delaying your vehicles arrival.
