HOW CAN I TRACK MY VEHICLE’S LOCATION?
Keeping track of your vehicle all the way to your desired destination is easy.
Simply call your Posey transport coordinator, and they will give you immediate updates on your vehicle’s status. Because our trucks usually run dedicated routes, we know exactly where our shipments are at all times. That means you get clear and consistent communication on the progress of your valued shipment, as well as a realistic delivery timetable.
UNDERSTANDING THE PICKUP AND DELIVERY PROCESS
Whenever you move a Personally Owned Vehicle (POV) expect door-to-door service for any type of vehicle. If for any reason your community does not allow the truck to come to your exact location, you can easily coordinate a meeting place and time with the driver.
Once the schedule for pickup, delivery and transportation costs are confirmed, you will be sent a terms and conditions form to sign and return.
The carrier will and should call you 24 hours in advance to coordinate the time and date of pickup and delivery. You will also receive a copy of the contract, called the Bill of Lading, at pickup and delivery.
If you are not offered a copy of the Bill of Lading, request one. And if for any reason you cannot be at home when your vehicle is picked up, you can have someone act on your behalf, whether it’s family, a neighbor or a friend. And remember to remind them to get a copy of the Bill of Lading when the vehicle is picked up.
CAN I HAVE ITEMS IN MY VEHICLE WHILE IT’S BEING TRANSPORTED?
We recommend removing all personal items from your vehicle before it is shipped.
Your vehicle should also be ready for the changing weather conditions that occur with long distance transport. If you do decide to leave any items in your vehicle,
please keep them to a minimum and locked securely in the trunk. Because the carrier is not responsible for any items lost or stolen, we suggest the items you do keep in the truck are of minimal value. We do, however, take all reasonable precautions
to safeguard your vehicle during transport.
